    linux on a thinkpad 755cx with 75 mhz intel

    I was thinking about installing Ms-dos on this laptop. I think it would be more fun to have linux on it. The computer only has a floppy drive(3.5) so I can't download anything for it. Unless anyone knows where I could pick up linux floppys for it I'm going to have to put dos or 95 on it. The laptop right now is not booting. When I turn it on it wants me to put a disk in and press f1. The stats are 8mb of ram and 540 mb hd.

    there are certain distros that do net installs look up debian. they will allow you to create a boot disk that is installed on a floppy and it installs over the internet to the hard drive. let us know the results too.

    I will give it a try. thanks. First I have to reinstall the OS then I can surf the web and get Linux on it. I have to talk to the former owner and see if he found the disks.
