new laptop with NO os/with linux
im looking to buy a new laptop, however i dont want to pay for windows (i plan to install SuSE or ubuntu on it). the problem isi cant seem to find anywhere in the UK that sells such laptops. any help would be appreciated

^yea, no shops will sell a blank laptop, this i know, but im looking for a website that WILL sell them. a url would be appreciated if anyone knows any

I've heard IBM, excuse me: Lenovo, is offering SLED on their line of Thinkpads. Might be something to consider.

buy a used laptop on Ebay. use the filter and find one within 25 miles then e-mail the guy and see if you can go look at it before you buy. most people will even cut out the shipping costs if you go pick it up. i've gotten 3 laptops and 2 cell phones that way.

Pricewatch has a listing for laptops with no OS. Do they ship to the UK and would it be worth it to have them do so?
