    tapclick not working

    Hello,

    I have an emachines M5116 with Mandrake 10.

    I cannot tapclick with the touchpad. I have seen posts which recommend installing and running tpconfig. I tried this but simply got a message saying I did not have an Synaptics touchpad (even though I thnk I have).

    Anyone any ideas on how I can fix this?

    tapclick,Synaptic

    In SuSE I got it working from KDE control panel. You have to chose Monitor under "hardware" and then "input devices" from the left panel. Now you should be able to select Synaptic Touchpad as your input device.

    PS: After this my mouse takes off at a great rate of knots after moving it more than a certain distance. ( Only when I have something to drag) so if you find the solution to that it would be nice to know!
