    /proc/acpi/battery update interval

    Hi,

    Is there any way to decrease the refresh interval of stats produced in /proc/acpi/battery ? I find that stats update currently every 15 seconds on my FC4, 2.6.16, laptop. I want to bring it down to a 1 second if possible, but was not sure how to do it. Or it would be nice to be able to read the most current stats directly instead of reading from /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/sate. Anyone have any idea how to proceed? I figure that I may have to tinker with kernel variables to do this.
