    Ubuntu system requirements are relatively modest, with 32MB of RAM recommended for a default installation, and 1.8GB for the standard set of packages.
    I would suggest having at least 256 ram and a 700mhz processor.

    or 800mhz for AMD, 700 mhz for Intel... don't ask why but thats what they emailed me wehn i requested help
