battery meter problem on Mandrake
I'm using a Toshiba A30 laptop, running Mandrake 10.0. I'm using Gnome 2.4. Something is wrong with the battery meter that I added to the top panel. It ALWAYS shows it as plugged in to AC, and that the battery does not exist. This is while I'm sitting in a chair typing this, while obviously not plugged into AC, and there obviously is a battery here. I have installed ACPI and ACPID. I installed Mandrake 10.0 this morning; I was before running Fedora RC2, on Gnome, and the battery meter displayed fine, no problems at all. This is just happening on Mandrake, seemingly.
Please help, this is a very peculiar problem.
