Dell E1505 Laptop
I'm trying to install linux for the first time but I am not sure which is really the best linux to go with to learn on; also last time I tried to install linux I could never never get my Intel Wireless built in card to work so I had to remove linux, anyone have any ideas on which linux I could try to install that is kinda easy to start off with?
Try Linux Mint:
Main Page - Linux Mint
It is Ubuntu based. When I installed it on my old Dell laptop, it recognized and installed my Broadcom drivers. It took only three clicks of the mousepad!
It starts up as a Live CD, and then you can install it if you want. The trick is to have a wired LAN connection hooked up before you boot the Live CD. It will configure and use that connection to download any needed wireless drivers.
