Fedora Core 2 on Dell Inspiron Laptop
I am brand new to Linux. Please forgive me if I couldn't find a solution to this in the forum.
I am trying to install Fedora Core 2 on the following laptop:
Dell Inspiron 1150
Intel on-board graphics
14.1 XGA display
256MB shared DDR SDRAM
20GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive
Integrated Network Card
Dell Wireless 1350 Internal 802.11B
The graphical installer hangs after the text rolls by and all I have is a green screen. I tried installing in text mode and it went all the way thru the install. The monitor was not found by the hardware probe. When given the chance to select one, all that was listed were generic LCD laptop screens of various resolutions. I picked the 1024X768, which is what I was using with WinXP. When I rebooted after it said the install was completed sucessfully, I got the green screen again.
Does anybody have a clue how I can get around this problem.?
