Gentoo on Dell Inspiron 1300
I'm sorry if I write on wrong subforum, but i have a question.
I am installing a gentoo distribution on my notebook which is dell inspiron 1300 with intel celeron cpu and 256 mb ram.
I have 4 partitons at all.
hda1 is my bios part. it's not replaceble.
hda2 is ntfs and is for windows
and i have two more parts.
hda5 is swap (300mb)
hda3 is reiserfs (7gb)
i'm new in linux and i have a question.
now i am replacing fstab
and i must replace BOOT, ROOT and SWAP with the actual partition names.
livecd etc # nano -w fstab
/dev/BOOT /boot ext2 noauto,noatime 1 2
/dev/ROOT / ext3 noatime 0 1
/dev/SWAP none swap sw 0 0
swap is hda5. that's clear, but which part is root and which boot?
sorry for my bad english.
thanks in advance.
