kde works great on my dell latitude cpx
pentium 3 450mhz 192 ram
things run great on it
but when i click restart or turn off
things quit but the screen goes black and it doesnt shut off untill i hit the power button physically
any ideas?

your motherboard does not have support for shutting down by software?
