laptop not booting

Hello Bros and Sis,
Please help me out on this one.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1505
I used it up till last night 11:00pm and shut down normally from Windows.
I wanted to boot it up this morning and it wouldn't boot.
The power LED lights up, but the Caps Lock and NumLock LEDs keep blinking for bout 15 secs and then the whole machine goes off.
The BIOS doesn't even display.

That sounds like hardware failure. Better check if you still have guarantee on the machine and contact your supplier.

You might get lucky and just have a problem with the battery not charging all the way. Was your laptop on a charger for the night before you tried to boot?
