Power savings
I have an HP dv2100 (a Centrino) laptop with the following general specs (from what I remember... I don't know how to view all that info in Linux)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz
60GB 5400rpm hard drive
nVidia GeForce Go 7200 (I think...)
Intel PRO/Wireless
I enabled "laptop mode" and my power consumption is still a lot more than what it was in Windows. I'm running Ubuntu (latest release) and Xfce. Anyone got any tips? Just curious, because Linux appears to be using less system resources (things run faster, is why I think that) but battery consumption is higher. Thanks!
