Programmable hardware on Computers?
Are there programmable hardware on computers these days?
Since the events at the world trade center, I have gotten concerned that there are many things happening without proper consideratons.
Basically I ask this because I can not find a computer without someone hacking on it wirelessly.
I can't prove anything because I don't have the resources.
But I suspect anything with storage has wireless on it and the south bridge chipset also has wireless in it.
If hardware is programmable then software radio can be implemented.
I know this sounds more paranoid. But I have concerns.
I've tried removing wireless devices.
The WiFi PCIE card was disconnected from the Samsung 3 series AMD A6 laptop. I can not boot USB on the computer so after I removed the hard drive I booted precise linux off of the CDROM drive. And then I removed the CDROM because I was concerned about storage devices having wireless capability. I can still do linux stuff since everything is loaded into RAM. But the problem I have is the computer develops a personality and I know that's not possible. Things happen this way and that and it seems to know what i'm trying to do and prevents me from doing it; that is what I mean by a personality. It's one thing to hack via a predetermined hacking in a code or virus, but I'm experiencing things that suggest they can do stuff real time.
