Wireless on Fedora 4
I am fairly new to Linux and I am working on getting my wireless card to work on my laptop. I am running Fedora Core 4 on a Compaq Evo N410c and I have a Belkin 802.11b PCMCIA card, which is not natively supported.
I know that some chipsets are not natively supported by linux, that I could try using Madwifi, and I recently heard of ndiswrapper, so I am kinda confused...
I would really like to know which chipsets are supported by Fedora 4, and if there is a PCMCIA wifi card with one of these chipsets that someone can recomended (I dont mind buying a new one that is supported... then I can go 11g!)?
If there isnt one, do people recommend madwifi or ndiswrapper (also which chipsets does ndiswrapper work with) and will they work with my current Belkin?
Many thanks for reading
