How to connect internet

im using linspire 5

im unable to connect my internet (with ADSL router) i can configure my router by typing 192.198.1.1 to Bridged mode
But my question is where to enter the username and password for this adsl connection..
i tried from network settings,to set as pppoe but i didnt showed any thing to me....

is there any way to connect to internet other than this (other wise by using a dialer) what will be the proceedure....

You'd need to setup your router as pppoe iirc... and then configure your computer to connect to the router.

its not possible

hey my isp provider said that we can connect to internet by only configuring modem into Bridged mode.....so i should have a dialer for this purpose....
in windows xp it is inbuilt from where i can get this dialer....
