Somehow I triggered an infinite "launch another Konqueror" loop. When I reboot or - turn off, let it rest, turn on - it starts afresh launching infinite Konqis. (Infinity is the number of client windows KDE allows.)

Using another computer to search the web, I've discovered the ksysguard program. ksysguard tells me that kdeinit is the parent of all the Konqis and that it (kdeinit) is still running, long after everything seems initialized.

I'm a big fan of Konqueror, but one per desktop seems about right. Can't do useful work until I can get this fixed. Help definitely appreciated.
