Need a Application. Any who has seen one like it?

Hey ppl.
I need a application that can read things for me.
If i select a text it must be able to read it for me.
In a voice that is understandable atleast to point.
Any one who has come across soomething like this?

This kind of an application can help people if they feel their eyes are feeling irritated to stare into the comp for long hours but want to read something....... Can help atleast for a while by allowing you to feep your eyes shut..

Any quick reply would be greatly appreciated.
And this aint a thread that might end that quickly.... Any one else with any other requirements also write in... This thread might turn into a request thread...

You might want to take a look at Festival. That's a text to speech app.
