Exclamation fonts of adobe reader

hi i am using adobe reader for linux when trying to open the file form the following address: "http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~ee130/sp06/chp5.pdf" it is giving the following error
cannot extract the embedded font 'CJMDP+TIMESNEWROMAN'.
so what is the problem how can i find this font and where to put it thanks in advance

The error is because there is some problem within the file, probably. How to solve it, well, it depends.

Kpdf opens that file without a problem (I can't tell you if the contents will display on a entirely correct form). Besides trying another viewer, I can't suggest anything. I don't know if there's a way that the Acrobat viewer could substitute a font that is supposed to be embedded on the document itself by a external equivalent (or the same) font.

To use any ttf font, though, you can just put it into ~/.fonts/, but I highly doubt that that will help with Acrobat.
