amarok sounds weird

I wanted to do some configuration on amarok with its equalizer and Kmix but it got even worse.Some mp3 files sound wrong.Did this ever happen to you too?How can I configure it to sound best?

I would check these things first:

Are you using the best kernel driver for your sound card?

Check what engine you are using and see if switching helps.

Does sound work well using a different player? If so then this may help you narrow the field of options that may not be working well in amarok.
