I get the same error as pimpety pimp got the setup freezes my box at stage 5. I have read through his post but can't work out how he fixed it. Did he compile from source in the end ??

My System is red hat 9 new build all dependancies are installed for K3B but I am trying to install it under Gnome. Should this work

do it under kde and use the terminal and the rpm files

I have listed all the dependencies for k3b 0.81 on my red hat 9 page of my guide

I have k3b 0.81 working perfectly on my box with all of the possible options available.

Sorted thanks

I installed it under KDE fine not from the terminal though. It was the rpm version I had. It now runs up under gnome ok.
