Java and Mozilla

Ok, heres the deal...

I am running Redhat 9 use Mozilla as my browser. I installed Sun Java, and it DOES show to be installed by hitting Help/About Plugins in the browser. As you can see below.

Now, problem is... Java does not work in mozilla. All i get is the "X" when i try to access java apps. Anyone have any ideas. I have set this up before and had no problems.

If you are using mozilla 1.4, you need java 1.4.2

Well, it looks like the plugin is working correctly. Can you output the exact error message that you see when the error comes about?

mine also appeared in my about plugins when i was using j2re 1.4.1 with moz 1.4 but it still wouldn't display the things properly on webpages ( I would get the puzzle piece too), when I changed to j2re 1.4.2, it worked fine with moz 1.4.
