GAIM and SSL, Help.

I switched to Zenwalk (minislack) today, FC4 was having some trouble with my hardware. But I need to install a supported SSL library to get my msn account to work properly.

I looked here for answers (also tried the search function)
http://www.linuxtux.org/~juhl/slackw...kware-faq.html
http://www.slackbook.org/html/index.html
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/faq-ssl.php#q12

No luck.

"Gaim needs to be compiled with SSL support to work with MSN, and for SSL connections on Jabber (where the server supports it)" < http://gaim.sourceforge.net/faq-ssl.php#q12

Then the website says that I have to do this:

"Firefox also includes the necessary libraries, so if you have a binary package of Gaim that was built with SSL support you may be able to add /usr/lib/firefox to /etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig as root."

But I don't know how to add /usr/lib/firefox to /etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig.

Any help is appreciated.
btw. GAIM version 1.4.0 and FireFox version 1.0.6 and using XFCE.
