Google talk with gaim?

anyone know why my google talk wont work with gaim? these are my settings

add @gmail.com to the end of your username

...you have to have a gmail account to use google talk...

I have gmail and have tryed that

I have also made a second gmail account with the same password and everything i can connect to that but not earobinson

Ok so i have been asking around and seems like a fair amount of people are in the same boat as me (looks like if u use the google talk client and gaim client to conect to google talk, then gaim wont work)

I might be confused, but are you saying that you want to connect to google talk and to your aim account using gaim? I've had no trouble getting into google talk using gaim, but i've not tried the two together.

nope, but the problem has fixed its self i can conect now with windows and linux so its no problem

well, the way earobinson's options were set up is correct, and that is exactly the same options i use, I would remind everyone, though that google talk IS still in beta, and a few problems are to be expected
