Octave/MATLAB GuI Linux

I am using MATLAB on windows, and like the graphical feature it provides. When I install the Octave on Linux, it seems to provide only the text feature (from the terminal). Does anyone know if there are a GUI feature of Octave I can download?

In case you are unaware, MATLAB runs on Linux.

There are a couple GUI projects for Octave. I haven't used any of them personally though.

http://octave-gtk.sourceforge.net/
http://yaog.sourceforge.net/

I think Maxima is supposed to be similar to MATLAB and it has a GUI. It's possible it will work for you.

I think Maxima is more similar to Mathematica though.
