Question Looking for a DDNS server application.

Hi- I work for a company that specializes in security cameras. We set up computers at each client site, that are connected to the internet, so that we and the client can pull up the camera system remotely.

I am looking for a Dynamic DNS server application that can run on Fedora or SUSE (preferably core 6 or 10.1)

I would like to have a DDNS client program on each client side computer, so that they can have there own hostname to view the camera system (ie. http://client.mycompany.com).

I have been using www.dyndns.org so far, and this is what I really want, except I would like to have server side control, so it's my own DNS name.

Mind you, this is a small business, preferably the software is free (I am looking for a linux app after all)

I found MintDNS - which is what im looking for, but its windows based

I am still a novice at linux, but any help of where to look for more information is appreciated.

*Note- I have found a few DDNS server apps for linux, but, it only works on the local side.

Thanks much!

You should be able to configure BIND to accept dynamic updates.
No additional software is needed, except for the clients.
