Unhappy full textfied select

In KDE, whenever I click inside any text field like address bar in firefox, it simply puts the cursor there, this is very frustrating as I have to do more keystrokes to delete everything and wtite new texts. any way to change this behaviour?

Doesn't it highlight all of it if you double-click on it?
