Unable to start Xserver, out of SYNC

Dear all,

On my pc unable to start Xserver. Pc uses the nividia VGA card.

I check my /etc/X11/xorg.conf. driver is set for "sis"

so I modified it to "vesa" , then I gave command # startx resulting an eroor

Out of sync.

How can I fix this problem. Please can anybody guide me.

Set Driver to "nv". Have you installed Nvidia Driver?
Which Distro do you have?

Too much time to start Xserver

Thank you very much. It works. My Distro is Fedora Core 6

But to start xserver it takes 60 secs, I think it is too much time.

How can I make it little faster.

I have 256 MB RAM
and 128MB VGA (Nividia) card RAM.

You should install Nvidia Driver. Open Terminal/Konsole and execute this

lspci | grep VGA
ls /etc/yum.repos.d
