Unable to start Xserver, out of SYNC

Ravime Just Joined! Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 32	Unable to start Xserver, out of SYNC Dear all, On my pc unable to start Xserver. Pc uses the nividia VGA card. I check my /etc/X11/xorg.conf. driver is set for "sis" so I modified it to "vesa" , then I gave command # startx resulting an eroor Out of sync. How can I fix this problem. Please can anybody guide me.

Too much time to start Xserver

Thank you very much. It works. My Distro is Fedora Core 6

But to start xserver it takes 60 secs, I think it is too much time.

How can I make it little faster.

I have 256 MB RAM
and 128MB VGA (Nividia) card RAM.

You should install Nvidia Driver. Open Terminal/Konsole and execute this

ls /etc/yum.repos.d
