elija Linux Engineer Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Either at home or at work or down the pub Posts: 1,094	OK, found something good enough. It turns off all volumes on the desktop! Press Alt + F2 and enter "gconf-editor" without the quotes and press enter. Navigate to Apps -> Nautilus -> Desktop Select or deselect the appropriate options.
