KDE 4.3 is there a media manager?

I 've been using KDE 4.2 with Mandriva 2009.0, and my main objection was the fact, that it had no media managing possibilities KDE 3.5.8 had. I would like to know, whether it is possible now to set up a policy which would tell to the file manager what to do with a video DVD, a data DVD...etc. I mean, is it possible to tell it once for all, that I want to open every video DVD with SMplayer?

Are you talking about having it auto-mount and open a program when you pop the DVD in? Or setting the file associations?

Yes, I want to have automated playback and mounting without being asked by a small annoying applet without name each time I insert a media.

I can't post links yet but if you google automount program several scripts will show up in the results that will do this for you with barely any work on your part..... or ubuntu does this automatically.
