Linux Graphics compared to Other OS

I always wonder y the GUI doesnt look as bright as the other OS's like Mac OS X and windows.i might not utilised full configuration of the Desktop managers, but i can clearly differentiate between the Looks of Linux and others.U see almost always i find that MOTIF look on the Linux.
Can we make Linux Look as Dazzling as Mac OS X or else r thr any Limitations on the gRaphical front..

I dunno completely what you're asking for, but you can customize linux to look however you want it too. For inspiration, take a look at http://www.lynucs.org

There are some desktops that look very similar to Mac OSX.

No, you just install KDE and download/create different styles afterwards. You can have as many styles installed at the time as you want, and just change the current style in KDE controlcenter. I dunno how to create styles, but here's a guide on windowdecorations: http://www.usermode.org/docs/kwintheme.html
