Mandrake 9.1 RPM Problem.... Help?

This just started happening recently, when i try to install any kind of package, i get the error,

"KDEINIT: could not launch /usr/bin/gurpmi"

This is using the graphical interface for rpms, as well as using the command line. Both have problems.

As well, on a related note, when i try to use Mandrake Control Center, every other submenu and category work, except for the package management. When i go in, and try to double click on one of the options, nothing happens. There is no sign of a double click even happening... What is the deal guys?

are both gurpm and gurpmi installed?

rpm -qa|grep -i rpm

check that they are isntalled and that the versions are the same as the other packages else there might be conflicts.

Hey! Thanks for the response, here's the output of the error.

/usr/lib/rpm/rpmq: error while loading shared libraries: librpmio-4.0.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

what is happening?
