User Rankings

Ranks are the short descriptions below your username in your posts, indicating how many posts you have made and your status on the forums.

How do I change my rank?

In general you cannot directly change the wording of any rank. We use ranks to indicate the number of posts you have made and to identify certain users. For example, moderators and administrators have a special rank.

Current rankings stand at:

Code:
Just Joined! : 0
Linux Newbie : 100
Linux User : 250
Linux Enthusiast : 500
Linux Engineer : 750
Linux Guru : 1500
We also have 3 special ranks, "Administrators", "Moderators" and "Trusted Penguins".

Administrators have the final say in any critical decision, and Moderators are people who have been elected by Administrators and other Moderators to help run the forums.

Moderators are chosen based on their input to the community, and also how the community perceive them. Moderators are people that have shown an interest in the forums, and have contributed in a helpful and polite manner.

Trusted Penguins are not moderators, but have been given their special rank because of their extreme helpfulness, in depth answers, and friendly manner towards other members of the forum.

If you have any questions, or require assistance with using the forums, please do not hesitate to approach any of the moderators or administrators of this board.

Regards,

Jason
