darkrose0510 Linux User Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Queensland, the cyclone/flood/drought capital of Australia Posts: 256	2.6.23 compiling with ALSA Messing about with the kernel earlier, I discovered ALSA won't work (alsaconf doesn't detect my card) if it is compiled statically. With the exact same config, but ALSA compiled as a module, it works (detects sound card) fine.
