KERNEL PANIC : HOW TO RECOVER

Dear Sir,

I have RHEL4 and WindowsXP in my system , recently I have accessed Linux partition through Windows. Later I have changed the permissions of the filesystem through Windows, but now Im unable boot Linux its giving me an error "KERNEL PANIC" . How can I reboot Linux safely
without reinstalling it.

Windows does not know anything about Linux and even less about Linux permissions. If your system can be fixed at all, you will need to do it using a Linux system, using a live CD. How did you try to access Linux through Windows?

What did you do to linux with windows?? And how did you do it??

As said before, windows doesn't know anything about linux, so it's normally a good idea to keep linux a secret from it

KERNEL PANIC : HOW TO RECOVER

We could possibley help you recover your linux, if you could tell us what exactly have you done to those partitions from within Windows !!
