Boot up from Puppy Linux CD and open GParted Partition Manager. Its available in Menu. Delete all partitions and create new.

* 8 GB, ext3 for /
* 512MB, SWAP
* Rest of space, ext3 for /home.

Start Installation and select Manual Partitioning in Partition Section. Select 8GB Partition and assign it / mount point. Select other ext3 partition and assign it /home mount point. Install will detect SWAP Partition itself.
Continue installation and installer will take care of rest.

Do let us know how it goes.

SWAP Partition has been locked because Puppy LiveCD is using it. Try to unmount it using umount command.
Code:
umount /dev/hda2
You can delete partition after that.

Does Puppy CD give any options regarding SWAP/Memory usage at startup? Check its manuals. I will go through its manuals too and let you know.

i dont know if it was the right console that i'm using..

rxvt
# umount /dev/hda2
umount: dev/hda2: invalid arguement.
# unmount /dev/hda2
bash: unmount command not found.

lol.. im not sure if this is the right command prompt im using. its not like if i type a question mark [?], it would present its command list available.

can you tell me where i can do this lol totally new here. like start > run > cmd and ..
anyway, it didnt provide options regarding the swap/memory as i restart it.

i could try installing it again as soon as i can delete these partition.
