External DVD Drive for laptop??

My lappies (Acer aspire 5310) built-in CD/DVD drive is not working.Seems like "lens" is gone. I can insert/eject CD but nothing comes up on the system or even /var/log/messages said nothing about it.

I'm looking for quick solution,Is it possible to add external cd/dvd drive to my laptop?

Should be fine, I use an external DVD drive (USB) with my Eee PC all the time, since it doesn't have a drive

I don't suppose you're in the UK? If you're willing to pay for the postage I have a few spare DVD/RW drives if you want one
