Is it possible to run Linux on MacBookPro (Intel)? If yes, how difficult from running linux in a Thinkpad or Dell?

It is possible, but it's certainly not easy. I recently installed Ubuntu on a MacBook Pro and a Dell Inspiron 1520. Here's what happened:

Ubuntu 7.10 on a Macbook Pro
Linux on the Dell Inspiron 1520

I am planning to install CentOS-5 in MacBookPro. I am ready to take up any tasks without sparing any hardware damage. ^^.

What would be your suggestion?

Are you wanting to keep OS X on there or just wipe everything?

Ok, so what you're going to do is a little different than what I did. I seem to remember reading an article from a guy who wanted to have just Linux on his MBP...

Your main difficulty with most how-tos out there is they're going to rely on BootCamp, which is no longer freely available. Does your Apple still have a Mac OS on it at this time?

My main concern is getting CentOS working with EFI, which is different from the traditional BIOS you find on most PCs these days. You might consider (at least for the time being) setting up a dual-boot with OS X and CentOS and boot between them using rEFIt, like I did.
