Dell ubuntu 1525N

Alright so I asked this question on the official Ubuntu forums but I didn't get any response, so I thought I'd post here to see if maybe there was someone who could help me.

Ok so I just bought the dell 1525N with Ubuntu. It came with Intel GMA X3100 and 2G of shared memory. Now I kind of regret getting it since it came with shared memory and I'm worried about it affecting system performance. mis there anyway of limiting how much is shared, or does the X3100 come with at least some if it's own memory? Does anyone have any experience.

Usually in the BIOS there is an option to limit or increase the amount of shared memory, example video card.
