HOWEVER, if you really need to get X up, I did try the "vesa" driver (just put in the Device section as the driver), and it works.
If anyone knows of a way to get any other drivers working for this card, it sure would be a blessing to a lot of people if you could post it here.

My laptop is "HP Pavilion dv8000" with ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M 128Mb video card. Installed Linux version is "ASP Linux 11.2" (core 2.6.17). X isn't works - there is a big problem with ATI drivers. But I've just found a very interesting site about this problem. I think it may help us to configure this video card on our laptops...
