Networking newb questions for Slack 12

I've googled myself to death on a "How To" to set up Lisa so I can get on my LAN but I just cannot get Lisa configured. On my windoze boxes I have a "HOME" workgroup. Anyone know how to configure Lisa? Or are there other ways to get Slackware on my LAN other than Lisa? Do I need to configure Samba first? I'm in the dark here. I've seen many Samba "How To's". not much on Lisa. I just want Slack on my HOME wokgroup. I do go thru a firewall router and have Guarddog on Slack. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank You jonycat

Here's some ipconfig info from windows:
DHCP enabled
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
DHCP server 192.168.1.1
I use 192.168.1.100-110 ranges on my computers.
