Ubunut VM slow networking

I am running Ubuntu under VM Ware and when I use bridged networking connecting to the host is slow. When I use NAT the internet is really slow. When I use both they both are slow.

How do I make them both fast?

Yes I did.

I think I mighta fixed it.

I set a host only adapter and instead of using the hostname of the Host, I used it's IP on VMNET1 (Host Only adapter) so it will always use that one...

I just need a way to use this command without having to enter my password in the terminal where someone can see it...:
Code:
mount -t cifs -o username=<user>,password=<pass> //computer/share /path/to/mountpoint
