Dialin and a custom App

Hello all,

I know this is the second post about a dialin issue (the other involving a usb modem and it hanging up on the login screen) but this one is different than that one.

Current setup
Redhat Linux
mgetty
usr ext 56 modem

As it stands now I can dialin and get the login prompt. what I need to do is run a custom app upon login. I am looking at using php or perl to do this. Currently the modem dials mgetty errors on the current script and defaults to the login prompt. the script works in stand alone mode!

Any clues or guidence?

Thanks,

A quick search turned up the following:

1) you could try and use gettyacts: http://osr5doc.ca.caldera.com:457/cg...an?gettyacts+F

2) check this document: http://webhome.idirect.com/~pking/dialin.html

Hope this helps.
