dhcpcd in gentoo

it seems that when i merged OpenOffice to my system, i haphazardly overwrote some config files.. in that process, i managed to kill dhcpcd at boot and now i can't remember how exactly i got it to come up at boot.. could someone please refresh my memory as to where the command should go??

Edit your /etc/conf.d/local.start and just add dhcpcd to it.

same here... after reading about the install, i decided a stage 2 or 3 install would've been depriving myself of part of the reason for using gentoo... and i can say that i'm very happy with my system right now... no bloat.. only stuff i use, etc, etc, etc.
