From that I can tell unbuntu doesnt have native WPA support. Is there some way to add it. My work wireless is WPA and without being able to use it the entire distro is pretty much worthless to me Please use very small words if you apply, Im a VERY linux newbie.

The package "wpasupplicant" is installed by default on Ubuntu 6.06. Which version of Ubuntu are you using?

Even if you have an older version of Ubuntu, a simple command like that in the terminal will install it :

sudo apt-get install wpasupplicant

or you can install it through synaptic.

The link provided by logan5 does explain how to configure wpasupplicant though.
