The package "wpasupplicant" is installed by default on Ubuntu 6.06. Which version of Ubuntu are you using?
Even if you have an older version of Ubuntu, a simple command like that in the terminal will install it :

sudo apt-get install wpasupplicant
or you can install it through
synaptic.
