Angry [SOLVED] CD ROM and flash drive aren't showing up in bash

I put files on a flash drive, and entered in bash (I have no GUI at this point, just the bash shell) and nothing shows up other than cdrom under 'ls /media/'. So I burned the files to a cdrom, put the cd in, and typed 'ls /media/cdrom/' and then tried 'ls /media/cdrom'. Nothing works, it's just blank! Any idea what is going on? FWIW I'm using arch.
