plugins

i cant be able to play mp3 music.............i need gstreamer plugin.......help

Hi pulsar,
We need a little more info so that we may better understand your problem, Which Distro are you using? are you using KDE or Gnome, perhaps even xfce? Which media player are you trying to use? Have you taken any steps to correct the problem yet?
Have you tried using your package manager to search for this plugin? I would also try to install W32codecs using the package manager.

i have rythmbox n i played it with helix......itsaid helix couldnt play this file.......im using YDL

Well, I've never used YDL or Helix but I know that YDL is based on Redhat/Fedora and Helix is basically RealPlayer. I would stick to Rythmbox or try downloading a different media player like VLC or Mplayer. I'm pretty sure if you just search in your package manager you will find all the codecs you would need. Just open your package manager and do a search for "codecs". Look for gstreamer-ugly and W32codecs. Let us know how it goes.
