[SOLVED] help with external-harddrive

Hi
I am running Ubuntu 8.04(hardy) and am trying to install eveonline onto a 250GB (Seagate) portable external-harddrive. but it doesnt show up in the wine install directory. How would I get it to Show up in the directory to install it? Or any other game? I just checked on my pc and it froze up on me as soon as I unplug it it starts working again. How would that be fixable if it is?

why not try to install it under windows (if u still have windows, of course)?

maybe it doesnt show up in the wine install directory because the drive aint always there.

u can still run the game, i believe, when u have it installed even if its not in the list.

configure GRUB. make sure it would include windows in the boot menu.

since i have mandriva instead of ubuntu installed, i dont have the step by step procedure.

just google "configure grub on ubuntu"
