Root User Privileges Startup Applications

Hi,

I'm kinda new to Ubuntu so forgive the ignorance but whenever I try to place Firestarter in the startup applications menu I log out and back in and it tells me there is an error I need root user privileges to execute. So basically it wont let me add firestarter to startup but I can add remove other programs.

Thanks

that means firestarter needs to be run as root, it should be started as a system service with GDM, and not as a session startup for your user

I believe it is system->administration->services, the application should hopefully show up in there.
