easiest question possible on open office

I am just asking where other members save their open office files in Ubuntu.
If you start a special file where do you put it so that you can find it again.
The default file is the computer name but after a few dozen letters that would look untidy. Would appreciate a suggestion please.

I'm not clear what you mean by special file?

I save documents in my home folder under Documents.

I have a folder called documents and then under that other folders for each file type. Sometimes I have further folders for specific projects.

So

Code:
/
    home
        elija
            Documents
                spreadsheets
                word-processor
                    project 1
and so on

Thank you both for the replies. I perhaps should note have used the word special - I just meant a places where you keep letters - like for instance the name on a filing cabinet drawer. So in this instance the filing cabinet drawer would be "Home". That's just what I needed to check on....
Thanks
