[SOLVED] cd-rom problems

His!

This is not a linux problem, but maybe i can throw some linux guns at it.

My cd-rom is not playing ball: yesterday it red a dvd correctly, today it fails reading the files correctly. This can be an indication of faulty hardware...

I got this TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S222A SB00 as a substitution for a defective Lite-On and now i fear this drive too is defective and after nine months it's out of warranty

A while ago i inserted a cleaning cd in it hoping to clean the laser head, but now i can't eject it! not even by sticking a clip in the small hole of the drive!
